Hello! I’m Claudine Lavoie… mother of two beautiful children, and wife to the most supportive man in the world, who is has been my best friend since 2001. I was raised to enjoy every minute of life, but to not forget to stop and breathe. To never stop learning, to do my best, and above all… to be kind and patient. To me, new life represents everything pure and magical in this world, which is why I choose to photograph this precious, fleeting time.
I am so pleased to welcome you to my spacious, custom built studio in my home in Greystone Manor, Sturgeon County. My husband and I drew this beautiful space when designing our estate build in 2010. As light is the essence of photography, it was important to create a space where I was able to use both natural light combined with studio light in my sessions to create unique, timeless images for you that will be treasured for generations. I have been a photographer since 2002, specializing in newborn, maternity and baby’s first year since 2013. Throughout the years I have gained the trust of Edmonton and area community, building a loyal clientele through referrals, awards in my genre, my artwork displayed at local hospitals, doctors offices, ultrasound clinics, and having featured images in local and international publications.
Photographing your newborn journey from maternity to their first birthday is a privilege and honour. You will be treated with kindness, respect and honesty from start to finish.

The decision to have professional photographs taken is exciting, but can also cause some anxiety when it comes to what to wear.... I know, I've been there!
This is why I created my Client Closets. I have spent the last few years sourcing beautiful clothing items from local boutique stores to overseas couture designers. I am proud to carry a collection that is not only visually stunning, but also timeless. Each piece coordinates together, complimentary to the style of my studio and photography.
How nice would it be to not have to worry about shopping for an expensive one-time-use designer maternity gown, or wonder what size you will be after having your baby - never mind having to coordinate all of the outfits for your family as well?
Let me take that stress away. I have got you covered for all of your Maternity, Newborn and Milestone sessions.
My Client Closets are available at no charge for my client studio sessions. New items are regularly being added, so check back often.
I am also pleased to offer hair and makeup services to my newborn clients at a minimal additional charge. Just show up in your yoga pants and a topknot - I'll take care of the rest!

Here's a snapshot into my world.
A Little Behind The Scenes Of My Life
I was born at the Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, Alberta. My mother worked as a labor and delivery nurse - perhaps hearing all of those newborn and birth stories really fuelled my desire to do what I do!
I am a Pisces and love water… my ideal vacation is surrounded by my family on a beach (lake or ocean).
I have traveled to six continents and 47 countries in my life so far, and my favourite place is Greece. Although my name would suggest otherwise, I do not speak French… although I understand it when spoken to me.
Music from the 80’s is my favourite. If you ride in my car, this is all you will hear. Needless to say, when I drive the kids anywhere, there are considerable eye-rolls.
My favourite movie EVER is the Sound of Music. If you know you know… no explanation needed.
My favourite food is Thai. I love a good mix of sweet and spice!
